American Legion baseball: Errors costly for Bellefonte

Bellefonte made a combined six errors in two games on Friday, falling 3-2 to Harrison City and 9-3 to Cumberland, Md. at the Hillbilly Hardball Classic.

Bellefonte’s Alex Struble hit a double in each game. Struble also pitched the first game, taking the loss.

Tyler Peymar and Andrew Giesey both doubled for Harrison City.

In the second game, Cumberland used a six-run first-inning, highlighted by a two run home run, to surge ahead.

Ryan McElwee and Adam Kuhn led the Bellefonte offense with a double and two singles, respectively. Anthony Montressor added a double.

Bellefonte (3-7-1) will play twice again Saturday against Moundsville and Fairmont.
