Pleasant Gap scored three first-inning runs and didn’t look back in an 8-0 win over Spring Mills to close a doubleheader Sunday.
Zach Moerschbacher earned the win with 42/3 innings of relief of starter Devin Alterio, as the pair combined on a four-hit shutout.
A two-run error and another run scoring on a double play gave the Peppers the lead for good in the first. Alterio later added a 2-run single and Moerschbacher doubled in the victory.
