County League Baseball: Spring Mills surprises Clarence

Spring Mills pounded out 12 hits and surprised Clarence 10-2 Monday evening.

The Braves (4-13), who are in last place in the six-team Centre County Baseball League standings, took down the Mountes (12-6), who have already locked up second place and a first-round bye for the playoffs, which start Sunday.

Logan Jonson picked up the complete-game win, scattering eight hits, while Cody Luse collected three singles to pace the Spring Mills offense.

Ryan MacNamara cracked a solo home run, Derek Jabco had three hits and Mike Lutz added an RBI double for Clarence.
