The win evened the first-round best-of-three series 1-1, with a winner-take-all contest set for Thursday at Spring Creek Park. The winner advances to the semifinals starting Sunday.

The Peppers took the lead for good with a three-run fourth inning, thanks to a Dan Roan solo home run, Zach Moerschbacher double and Colin Burke two-run homer, all with two out.

Pleasant Gap added two more runs in the fifth, paced by a Tyler Lali double, before the Ducks rallied with two runs in the sixth.

Caleb Walls tripled and scored on a Logan Madill single for Lemont, Mike Forstmeier later had an RBI single and Harrison Walls doubled for the Ducks.

Tyler James earned the win and Roan got the final four outs for the save.
