Little League softball: State College earns Section 4 9-10 crown

State College 10-run ruled Indiana 12-2 in four innings on Saturday in the Section 4 9-10 Little League Softball Championship.

A seven-run second inning from State College was ultimately the deciding frame.

“Ireland McDyre started off (the inning) by getting on base,” said head coach Aaron Ehrensberg. “Once the leadoff hitter got on base, everyone else followed suit and that really swung the momentum in our favor.”

Meredith Meengs and Ella Corson were the lone multiple hitters for State College. Meengs collected a double and a single, while Corson tallied two singles.

State College will advance to the State Championship at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.
