Penn State women’s lacrosse players Madison Cyr and Jenna Mosketti earned spots on the NCAA All-Championship team, the athletic department announced on Sunday.
The Nittany Lions fell to North Carolina in the semi-finals of the tournament, but both players’ standout performances were enough to get them the honors.
Cyr, who finished with a tournament-high 18 points on 11 goals and seven assists over four games, also had at least three points in every tournament game. She also had a game-high four caused turnovers against UNC, added a draw control, ground ball, while scoring two goals and an assist.
Mosketti registered a hat trick against UNC to earn a spot in the top 16 all-time at Penn State in goals with 121. Mosketti’s three goals came in the first half to keep the Nittany Lions on pace with the eventual champion Tar Heels. Mosketti also picked up two draw controls, a ground ball and caused one turnover.
Penn State ended its season 14-7.
