Two games at two different locations in one day?
No problem for Clarence American Legion.
After defeating St. Mary’s, Md. 2-1 at Governor’s Park in the morning, Clarence won the 34th Annual Bellefonte Wooden Bat Championship on Sunday afternoon, edging Clearfield 2-1 at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park.
Before it played on the home field of the Nittany Lions and State College Spikes, Clarence had to eke out a win against St. Mary’s.

AJ Onder helped out the cause, throwing a complete game and allowing only four hits. At the plate, Grant King had two hits and Luke Joezefick tripled.
Just hours later, Onder also started the championship game, giving Clarence 21/3 innings before being relieved by Ty Walker. Walker finished out the game.
Clarence scored the game’s first run in the first inning, and Clearfield tied it up in the third, but Clarence retook the lead in the fifth — and held onto it.
King singled, stole second, and moved to third on a sacrifice fly by Onder. A grounder from Trey Butterworth scored King from third.
Clarence (3-8-1) hosts Mifflin County on Monday.
