Penn State baseball opens 4-game series with win

The Penn State baseball team opened its four-game series against Xavier with a 7-5 win Friday, after it took a 2-1 lead in the third inning and then never trailed.

Nittany Lions outfielder Jordan Bowersox paced all batters by finishing 3 of 5, while DH Connor Klemann recorded a team-high two RBIs.

Penn State continues the series against Xavier with two games on Saturday; one starts at noon and the other at a time to be announced.
