Penn State wrestling is becoming a tough ticket.
The athletic department announced today that the Jan. 30 dual against defending NCAA champion Iowa is sold out, although a limited number of standing room only tickets will go on sale Monday.
Rec Hall seats 6,000 and the listed capacity is 6,502. The Nittany Lions are averaging 4,847 fans through three home meets.
Expect a hostile environment when the Hawkeyes visit. Penn State coach Cael Sanderson and Iowa’s Tom Brands don’t exchange holiday greetings and Nittany Lion wrestlers and fans have been pointing to this meet since last year‘s 29-6 loss in Iowa City.
