Notes: The Spikes and Cyclones are headed in opposite directions. The Spikes were outscored by Mahoning Valley 27-7 and the Cyclones outscored Aberdeen 24-1 during the past two nights. The Cyclones collected 31 hits during their final two games against Aberdeen. Brooklyn’s Daniel Muno is one of the league’s most effective leadoffs, hitting .358 with a .458 on-base percentage. Muno has nearly as many walks (14) as strikeouts (17) and went 4-for-5 on Friday. The Spikes have used four different leadoff hitters this season: Justin Bencsko, Taylor Lewis, Alex Fuselier and Brian Sharp. Bencsko (.301) is the only one hitting above .200. Former World Series MVP Frank Viola is the Cyclones’ pitching coach.
