Schedule: Friday — 11 a.m. first round and first-round consolations, 3:30 p.m. second round and second-round consolations, 7 p.m. third-round consolations; Saturday — 10 a.m. quarterfinals and fourth-round consolations; 12:45 p.m. semifinals and fifth-round consolations; 2:30 p.m. sixth-round consolations; 4:45 p.m. finals and place bouts

The skinny: This tournament isn’t for the meek. Thirty-two teams are gathering in Mill Hall, including District 6’s Bellefonte, Central Mountain, Juniata and Mifflin County. Defending champion Perry (Ohio), High Point (N.J.) and Phillipsburg (N.J.) are crossing into Pennsylvania for the event. Allentown Dieruff and Kittanning, which features returning PIAA Class AA champion Jason Nolf, are participating in the tournament for the first time. ...Central Mountain’s Brian Brill and Council Rock South’s Billy Rappo are returning PIAA Class AAA champions. McDowell’s Steve Spearman won a state title in 2010. ...Seniors Tom Traxler and Leo Wortman and juniors Garrett Poorman and Nick Shawley are medal contenders for Bellefonte. ...Central Mountain, Council Rock South, Latrobe and Reynolds are among the top Pennsylvania teams in the field.
