Central Mountain defeats Bald Eagle Area

WINGATE — Central Mountain won eight of 13 contested bouts to handle Bald Eagle Area 37-19 in a battle of undefeated wrestling teams Tuesday in Wingate.

The Wildcats (4-0, 2-0 Big 7) won the first five bouts to take a 24-0 lead. The Eagles (4-1, 2-1) won the four of the final five bouts but trailed 33-3 after Brian Brill’s pin at 160 pounds.

Cole Hanley (120) and Jacob Watt (138) added falls for Central Mountain. Nate Sharkey (285) had BEA’s lone fall.
