STATE COLLEGE — Penn State recruit Geno Thorpe scored a game-high 17 points as Shaler defeated State College 50-41 in boys’ basketball this afternoon.

Bryan Sekunda led the cold-shooting Little Lions with 10 points. State College (8-2) shot 31 percent from the field. Shaler (11-2), which led 23-21 at halftime, held the Little Lions to 8-of-32 shooting in the second half.
