Penn State Digest: Tim Frazier makes first team

CHICAGO — Penn State senior guard Tim Frazier was named to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team by a panel of conference media Thursday morning. Frazier was with head coach Patrick Chambers and teammate DJ Newbill at Big Ten Media Day in Chicago when the selections were announced.

Joining Frazier on the team was Preseason Player of the Year Cody Zeller (Indiana), Trey Burke (Michigan), Aaron Craft (Ohio State) and Deshaun Thomas (Ohio State).

Frazier was the only remaining first-team All-Big Ten selection from last year and also returns as the conference’s leader in scoring (18.8) and assists (6.2).

Conference media also picked Indiana to win the Big Ten with Michigan and Ohio State finishing second and third respectively.

Penn State opens its regular season Nov. 9 with a home game against St. Francis.
