Penn State split its games at the Aggie Classic, beating Missouri State 4-3 before losing 8-0 to Texas A&M on Friday.
Penn State’s Lexi Knieff came through with a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh inning, driving in Alicia Walker to seal the win over the Bears. Marlaina Laubach allowed two hits in three scoreless innings of relief to earn the win for the Nittany Lions. Penn State’s Macy Jones went 2 for 3 and scored a run.
Texas A&M scored three runs in the third inning against Penn State starting pitcher Jessica Cummings and added five in the fourth en route to the win.
Penn State (4-3) faces Missouri State at 11 a.m. and Texas A&M at 6:15 p.m. Saturday.
