Two grand slams highlighted a nine-run fourth inning that propelled Penn State to a 15-5 win over Wisconsin in five innings on Saturday.
Shelby Miller’s grand slam gave the Nittany Lions an 8-5 lead with no outs in the fourth. Five batters later, Reina Furuya drilled the team’s second grand slam of the inning, pushing the Nittany Lions’ lead to 13-5. Penn State now has five grand slams in its last five games.
Penn State recorded seven hits in the big inning and finished with 13 in the game.
The Nittany Lions added two runs in the fifth on a throwing error by Wisconsin pitcher Annie Davis.

Penn State’s Macy Jones pitched three innings in relief, allowing two unearned runs to earn the win. Wisconsin starter Paige-Taylor Stewart allowed nine runs (eight earned) in three innings to take the loss.
The Nittany Lions (21-17) host a doubleheader against Ohio State at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
