Macy Jones hit her team leading eighth home run and Penn State out hit Indiana in a 9-3 loss on Friday at Beard Field.
Even though the Nittany Lions (21-18, 4-6 Big Ten) held a 10-9 advantage in the hit category, what hurt the most were the three home runs they gave up to Hoosier hitters.
Indiana’s Katelyn Conenna and Michell Huber each had a two-run home run while Rachel O’Malley tacked on a solo shot.
Jones’ home run came in the sixth inning, which came with no other runners on base.
Alyssa VanDerveer and Jones helped Penn State battle back after a two run deficit in the fourth inning to tie the game.
