Michigan clinched the Big Ten regular-season title with a 9-1 win over Penn State on Saturday afternoon at the Wilpon Complex.
Sierra Lawrence and Lindsay Montemarano each hit two-run home runs, Montemarano added a double and Kelly Christner was 3-for-4 to pace the No. 3 Wolverines (47-6, 20-2 Big Ten).
Erin Pond was 3-for-3 as the Nittany Lions (28-26, 9-13) pounded out seven hits but left seven runners on base, shut down by Haylie Wagner in the six-inning game.
Marlaina Laubach gave up five hits and three walks along with six runs in three innings to take the loss.
