Penn State outfielders Lexi Knief and Macy Jones were both named second-team All-Big Ten by the conference’s softball coaches Wednesday.
Nittany Lion third baseman Shelby Miller earned a spot on the league’s All-Defensive Team.
Knief, a repeat second-team selection, is hitting a team-best .408 for the season and .448 in conference play. Knief also leads the Nittany Lions with 71 hits, 14 doubles, four triples and a .469 on-base percentage.
Jones, who was also the team’s sportsmanship award winner, is hitting .348 with 10 home runs, nine doubles and two triples. She is second on the team with 43 RBIs, a .615 slugging percentage and a .451 on-base percentage.

Jones also went 7-3 with a 3.66 ERA in the pitching circle.
Miller has committed just two errors and has a .984 fielding percentage in 49 games.
Penn State (28-27, 9-14 Big Ten) takes on Maryland at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the first round of the Big Ten tournament in Columbus, Ohio.
