Penn State women’s golf: Nittany Lions in sixth place of Pinehurst Challenge

The Penn State women’s golf team is in sixth place after two rounds Monday at the Pinehurst Challenge.

The Nittany Lions recorded a 5-over as a team, trailing leader East Carolina (6-under), Iowa (3-under), Chattanooga (1-under), Elon (1-under) and North Florida (1-over).

Jackie Rogowicz shot 1-under and is tied for 14th to lead Penn State. Halley Morell (tied 33rd, 2-over), Lauren Waller (tied 40th, 3-over), Ariana Coyle Diaz (tied 58th, 6-over), Grace Chung (tied 79th, 9-over) and Kate Granahan (tied 79th, 9-over) rounded out Penn State’s competitors.

William and Mary’s Alessandra Liu and College of Charleston’s Louise Olsson are tied for first at 8-under.

The tournament finishes with 18 holes Tuesday.
