Penn State women’s golf: Nittany Lions finish 13th at Landfall Tradition

Three Penn State golfers posted par or better and the Nittany Lions had their best round of the weekend, moving up to 13th place after the final round of the Landfall Tradition on Sunday.

Lauren Waller led the Nittany Lions with a 4-under 68 round, and 1-under 215 total, to finish ninth. Ariana Coyle Diaz (tie-24, 220) shot a final-round 70 and Jackie Rogowicz (tie-47, 226) added a 72. They were followed by Halley Morell (tie-65, 231) and Grace Chung (tie-87, 238).

Penn State posted a 28-over 892 team total in the 18-team field, closing the fall schedule. The Nittany Lions return to the course for the Clover Cup in Mesa, Ariz., in March.

Duke had all five golfers finish in the top 20 and won at 9-under 855, while Michigan State’s Sarah Burnham paced the field at 5-under 211.
