UNIVERSITY PARK

Penn State closed out its regular season with a 4-2 loss to Northwestern at the Sarni Tennis Center. It was the first home loss Penn State incurred all year.

The No. 39 Nittany Lions (20-7, 6-5 Big Ten) fell three times in singles, but also had a pair of victories from Aws Laaribi and Tomas Hanzlik.

In doubles play, the Penn State duo of Leo Stakhovsky and Matt Barry won their matchup, but the teams of Christian Lutschaunig-David Kohan and Laaribi-Roman Trkulja lost.

The Nittany Lions are the No. 6 seed at the Big Ten Tournament, and will face No. 11 Michigan State on Thursday.
