Wisconsin was selected unanimously as the top team in the Big Ten by the media, the conference announced Thursday.
Badgers center Frank Kaminsky was tabbed as the Preseason Player of the Year. Wisconsin returns four starters from a team that went 30-8 and made a trip to the Final Four last season. Wisconsin’s Sam Dekker joined Kaminsky on the preseason All-Big Ten team.
Indiana’s Yogi Ferrell, Michigan’s Caris LeVert and Nebraska’s Terran Petteway rounded out the preseason all-conference team.
Michigan State was picked to finish second, and Ohio State was selected to finish third.
Michigan State won the conference tournament title last season, while Michigan is the defending regular-season champion.
