Guard Terrence Samuel is transferring from Connecticut to Penn State, according to CBS Sports Network’s Jon Rothstein.
The 6-foot-4, 202-pound sophomore from Brooklyn, N.Y., will have to sit out the coming season and have two seasons of eligibility left.
Samuel played in all 35 of the Huskies’ games last season, starting eight, averaging 3.6 points and 2.5 rebounds per game. He also had 55 assists, 16 steals and 47 turnovers. He played in 30 of UConn’s 40 games in 2013-14, helping the Huskies to the national championship.
