Penn State announced its non-confernce schedule Wednesday, highlighted by a trip to face perennial power Tennessee.
The Lady Lions will visit the Lady Vols, an NCAA regional finalist last season, on Nov. 18.
The schedule opens with an exhibition game against Division II California, Pa., at the Bryce Jordan Center on Nov. 1, followed by the regular-season opener at home with Holy Cross (Nov. 13) and Fordham (Nov. 15), and Central Connecticut State visiting on Nov. 22. The team travels to Northridge, Calif., for a tournament, meeting the host Matadors (Nov. 27) and either Brigham Young or Georgia (Nov. 28).
Penn State then hosts Virginia Tech (Dec. 3) in the Big Ten-ACC Challenge, visits South Florida (Dec. 6), hosts Youngstown State (Dec. 8), travels to St. Bonaventure (Dec. 12) and hosts Sacred Heart (Dec. 20). The Big Ten schedule will be announced later, although the Lady Lions will have home games against Maryland, Ohio State, Purdue and Rutgers; road games at Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin and twice play Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska and Northwestern.
