Penn State’s Crispin named Rowan University head coach

Former Penn State standout Joe Crispin has been promoted to head coach of the Rowan University men's basketball team, athletic director Dan Gilmore announced in a press release Monday.

Crispin served as an assistant coach on the men’s and women’s basketball coaching staffs the previous two seasons. Former head coach Joe Cassidy will be the associate head coach on Crispin’s staff at the Division-III school.

Crispin was a starting guard at Penn State from 1997-2001, finishing with 1,986 points in his career and helping the Nittany Lions make a run to the Sweet 16 in 2001. He played professionally in the NBA and overseas.
