Penn State men’s basketball to face Albany in season opener

The Penn State men’s basketball team will host Albany in its season opener as part of the revised Hall of Fame Tip-Off Classic schedule announced Tuesday.

The Nittany Lions were slated to face Marist that day before the Albany-Duke game was canceled as a result of the North Carolina law that affects LGBT people.

The tournament announced the changes to the schedule Tuesday.

Duke will host Marist on Nov. 11 and Grand Canyon on Nov. 12. The rest of the matchups remained the same, including Penn State’s game against Grand Canyon on Nov. 15.

Penn State takes on Duke at 12:30 p.m. Nov. 19 at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., as part of the tournament. The Nittany Lions will face Cincinnati or Rhode Island on Nov. 20.
