Tickets were hard to come by for Penn State and Michigan’s highly-anticipated White Out matchup — and the numbers are in to prove it.

Saturday night’s announced attendance of 110,823 is the largest crowd in Beaver Stadium history.

The raucous crowd surpassed the previous record of 110,753 against Nebraska on Sept. 14, 2002.

It’s not too much of a surprise. From the press box, there doesn’t seem to be an empty seat in the stadium.

The excitement level surrounding Penn State’s marquee matchup of 2017 certainly had something to do with the turnout. College GameDay was on-campus for the first time since 2009, and the Nittany Lions are the No. 2 team in the country after all.
