Penn State football: Nittany Lions' opener set for noon

Penn State’s football home opener against Eastern Michigan on Sept. 7 has been set for a noon kickoff.

The game will be televised by the Big Ten Network to a national audience, as it is the second announced BTN game this season.

The Nittany Lions and Eagles will be playing for the third time, the last meeting coming in 2011. The teams first met in 1992.

Penn State will launch its 127th season on Aug. 31 against. Syracuse at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. Nittany Lion Club members can order tickets for the Syracuse game at 1-800-NITTANY weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or online via their Account Manager. General public tickets in the Penn State sections at MetLife Stadium go on sale at 10 a.m. on June 17.
