Penn State football coach James Franklin’s plan to “dominate the state” of Pennsylvania in recruiting continued on Thursday.
The Nittany Lions got their seventh commitment in the 2015 recruiting class when Bishop McDevitt running back Andre Robinson announced he plans to attend Penn State. Robinson — a four-star prospect according to 24/7 Sports — announced his commitment on Twitter. His verbal commitment is non-binding until he signs a National Letter of Intent.
Listed at 5-foot-9, 205 pounds, Robinson is rated as the No. 3 prospect in Pennsylvania by 24/7 Sports. He joins offensive tackle Ryan Bates (Archbishop Wood) and running back Saquon Barkley (Whitehall) as Top 10 prospects from Pennsylvania who have committed to Penn State since Franklin took over.
According to multiple recruiting services, Robinson had offers from Michigan State, Boston College, Louisville and Maryland among others.
