The Penn State football team’s graduation success rate (GSR) is among the Top 15 of Football Bowl Subdivision schools the university announced Monday.
The Nittany Lions are tied for fifth nationally among public schools where student-athletes that enrolled from 2004 to 2007 earned a superlative GSR of 87 percent, the second-highest in the Big Ten and tied for 13th overall among 128 FBS schools. Further, student-athletes that enrolled from 2004-2007 earned a four-year federal GSR of 75 percent, the second highest nationally among FBS public schools.
Nine members of the current team earned degrees prior to the start of the season.
