Penn State has signed the top-ranked junior college offensive tackle in the country, the athletic department announced in a press release Wednesday.
Paris Palmer, a 6-foot-8, 305-pound lineman, played the last two seasons at Lackawanna College and plans to enroll at Penn State in January. He will be able to participate in winter conditioning and spring practice and will be eligible to play in 2015.
Palmer is rated a four-star recruit by 247Sports, ESPN, Rivals and Scout, and he’s ranked the No. 9 overall JUCO recruit by 247Sports and Rivals.
The Plymouth, N.C., native was the starting left tackle at Lackawanna.
