Penn State football: Hull shows off skills at NFL Combine

Mike Hull had himself a nice afternoon at the NFL Combine on Saturday.

The former Penn State linebacker turned in Top 5 efforts in four different workouts and posted a middle-of-the-pack time in the 40-yard dash at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Hull excelled on the bench press where he put up 31 reps, more than any other linebacker tested on Sunday other than Clemson’s Vic Beasley who put up 35. Hull also turned heads in agility drills. He turned in the third-quickest time (11.52 seconds) in the 60-yard shuttle run and the fourth-fastest (4.15 seconds) 20-yard shuttle run.

Hull’s 6.99 second time in the 3-cone drill was fifth best among linebackers. He ran a 4.68 40-yard dash which was 17th best of the 34 linebackers who ran on Sunday.

Penn State defensive back Adrian Amos is scheduled to work out Monday.
