The Penn State football team picked up a commitment for its next recruiting class Saturday.
Tight end Daniel Dalton of Marshfield, Mass., gave a commitment to the Nittany Lions, changing his mind from a previous pledge to Boston College, according to Lions 247.
The site rates the 6-foot-5, 230-pound athlete as the No. 6 tight end in the country, the top overall prospect in Massachusetts and the No. 212 prospect in the nation.
Dalton, who also plays lacrosse, changed his commitment to the Nittany Lions after also weighing offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Nebraska and North Carolina, among others, according to Lions 247.

Dalton helped Marshfield to a 12-1 record last season and an MIAA Division 2 state championship, catching 56 passes for 765 yards and nine scores as a junior.
