The Penn State football team picked up another big recruiting commitment Tuesday.
Defensive end Daniel Joseph of Lake Forest Academy in Illinois announced his intentions on Twitter on Tuesday morning.
“I’m proud to announce that I am officially committing to penn state university,” Joseph Tweeted.
The 6-foot-3, 240-pound end is a four-star recruit according to ESPN and 247Sports, and a three-star pick by Rivals.com, and is rated by 247Sports.com as the No. 5 recruit in Illinois and the No. 14 strong-side defensive end in the nation.
Joseph also played tight end last season, catching 26 passes for 498 yards and eight touchdowns for the Caxys (4-5).
He chose the Nittany Lions over a number of other programs, including Michigan, Michigan State and Nebraska.
