The Jacksonville Jaguars signed former Penn State kicker Sam Ficken, the NFL team announced Monday on Twitter.

Ficken scored 100 points in his senior season. He connected on 24 of 29 field goal attempts and all 28 of his extra point attempts. He scored 271 points in his career and made his longest field goal, 54 yards, on Sept. 21, 2013.

The only other kicker on Jacksonville’s roster is Jason Myers, who made 26 of 30 field goals attempts for the Jaguars last season, including a good 58-yarder. He wasn’t as reliable on extra points attempts, making 32 of 39 after Jaguars touchdowns. Myers showed off a strong leg on kickoffs, forcing 55 touchbacks on 84 kicks.

Ficken was invited to the team’s minicamp in June.

Ficken’s final kick for Penn State was memorable, hitting an extra point in overtime against Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl to win the game.
