Jill Holdcroft scored a pair of goals, but Penn State saw a third-period lead disappear again in a 3-2 loss to Rochester Institute of Technology.
The Nittany Lions (2-11-1, 0-6 CHA) led 1-0 until the final minutes Friday night against the Tigers and lost a third-period advantage for the third straight game.
Holdcroft scored twice in the first period Saturday, including teh program’s first short-handed goal ever. Her first score came on a power play from Emily Laurenzi and Laura Bowman.
Marissa Maugeri converted a 5-on-3 power play with 2:37 left in the second period, scored again 1:43 into the third period to tie it and set up Erin Zach for the game-winner at 7:35.

RIT held a 40-23 shot advantage, with Celine Whitlinger making 37 saves.
The Nittany Lions visit Lindenwood on Friday and Saturday.
