Penn State women’s hockey: Nittany Lions fall to Princeton

The Penn State women’s hockey team skated to a 4-1 loss to Princeton on Monday afternoon at Pegula Ice Arena.

Laura Bowman scored the lone goal for the Nittany Lions (3-3-2) with help from Amy Petersen, who notched a point in a game for the sixth time in eight games this season. Bella Sutton also picked up an assist on the score.

Jaimie McDonnell, Cristin Shanahan and Molly Contini scored for the Tigers (1-1), with Cassidy Tucker adding an empty-net goal.

Hannah Ehresmann made 24 saves in Penn State’s net, while Tiger counterpart Kimberly Newell stopped 12 shots.

The Nittany Lions visit Syracuse on Friday and Saturday.
