Penn State women’s hockey: Sutton, Whitlinger earn conference honors

Two Penn State players picked up honors from College Hockey America on Monday after helping the Nittany Lions sweep Rochester Institute of Technology 2-1 and 3-1 over the weekend.

Bella Sutton scored two goals — both game-winners — and added an assist on her way to being named CHA Player of the Week. Celine Whitlinger had a .964 save percentage, making 53 stops while earning two wins, to be named CHA Goaltender of the Week.

The Nittany Lions visit New Hampshire on Friday and Saturday.
