After swiping a win the night before, Penn State was defeated by No. 7 Boston University 3-1 on Saturday at the Walter Brown Arena.
The Nittany Lions did take an early lead, though. Laura Bowman put Penn State up 1-0 with a goal 7:49 into the second period.
However, Boston knotted things up with five minutes left in the second, benefiting from a Samantha Sutherland goal. A mere 84 seconds later, the Terriers snagged the lead with a goal from Rebecca Leslie.
For good measure, Boston added an insurance goal with less than five minutes to go in regulation. The Terriers’ Sammy Davis scored her fourth goal of the season with 4:29 left.
