A trio of different goalscorers led Penn State women’s hockey to a 3-0 win over Union in its annual THON game on Sunday.
The Nittany Lions’ Kelsey Crow opened the scoring with 6:32 left in the first period. The goal was assisted by Amy Petersen.
Penn State netted a couple in the second period. The first was off the stick of Laura Bowman, assisted by Jill Holdcroft and Bella Sutton, and the second was scored by Jordan Pardoski, with the assist going to Victoria Samuelsson.
Union made Penn State goalkeeper Hannah Ehresmann work, though. The sophomore netminder had to make 16 saves.
Penn State hosts an upcoming weekend series with Connecticut on Saturday and Sunday.
