Penn State men’s soccer: Nittany Lions rout Penn

Five Penn State players scored as the No. 7 Nittany Lions rolled to a 6-2 win over Penn at Jeffrey Field on Wednesday night.

It was the most goals Penn State scored since a 6-3 win over Villanova in 1999. The win Wednesday marked the program’s 800th victory.

Penn State goalie Andrew Wolverton made eight saves and gave up his first two goals of the season.

Connor Maloney finished with two goals and an assist to lead Penn State (7-0-1).

Mikey Minutillo, Brandon Savino and Maloney each scored to help the Nittany Lions build a 3-1 halftime lead.

Drew Klingenberg and Riley Grant scored Penn State’s final two goals.
