Penn State women’s soccer: Nittany Lions too much for Northwestern

Four different players netted goals for Penn State as the No. 8 Nittany Lions remained unbeaten in Big Ten play with a 4-1 triumph over Northwestern at Jeffrey Field on Friday.

Salina Williford had a goal and an assist to lead the offense for Penn State (9-1 overall, 4-0 Big Ten). Raquel Rodriguez and Kori Chapic scored in the first half. Megan Schafer and Wiliford added unassisted goals in the second half.. Emily Hurd and Emily Ogle each had an assist.

Penn State had a 13-3 edge in shots. Britt Eckerstrom had one save in 76 shutout minutes.

Rachel Zampa had the goal for the Wildcats (4-5, 0-4-1).
