Penn State women’s soccer: Nittany Lions tabbed top seed of Big Ten tournament

Fresh off its 16th regular season Big Ten title and third in the past four years, Penn State’s women’s soccer team was named the top seed in the Big Ten tournament.

Penn State went 12-1 in conference play and will face No. 8 Northwestern in the first round on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in West Lafayette, Ind. Wisconsin earned the No. 2 seed and will play No. 7 Illinois to open the tournament. The tournament champion gets an automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
