Penn State’s Raquel Rodriguez was named to the watch list for the Missouri Athletic Club’s Hermann Trophy on Wednesday by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Earlier this summer she was a starting midfielder for the Costa Rican national team in the FIFA Women’s World Cup, scoring a goal against Spain.
She is one of four Big Ten student-athletes on the 28-player list, along with Brianne Reed of Rutgers, Rose Lavelle of Wisconsin and Illinois’ Makenzy Doniak.
