Bald Eagle Area girls’ basketball turns up defense in second half to top West Branch

After giving up 29 first-half points, Bald Eagle Area’s defense stepped it up in the second half of a 51-41 win over West Branch on Wednesday.

The Lady Eagles surrendered just 12 second-half points with only three coming in the third quarter.

Julia Cingle had a game-high 18 points to lead BEA offensively.

The Lady Warriors were led by Skylar Ceprish’s 18 points and Hailey Prestash’s 17 points.
