CCCA boys’ soccer wins, qualifies for ACAA tournament

Chad Weaver made eight saves Friday night to preserve the shutout and helped lead Centre County Christian Academy to a 2-0 boys’ soccer win over DuBois Christian School — which qualified CCCA for its first berth in 11 years in the Allegheny Christian Athletic Association Tournament.

Hayden Walker was the first to find the back of the net, in the 29th minute, while Ethan Gore scored on a penalty kick in the second half to provide more of a cushion.

The Bulldogs are now 8-6 this season. They will take on Mifflin County Christian Academy at 4:45 p.m. Monday in a regular season matchup.

The ACAA tournament will take place at 4 p.m. Thursday against Medowbrook Christian School in Bloomsburg.
