State College graduate Ben Gingher won two events to help Eastern Michigan’s swimming and diving team defeat Denison on Saturday.
The freshman won the 100-yard breaststroke in 57.89 seconds and the 200 breaststroke in 2 minutes, 6.73 seconds in the Eagles’ 187.5-111.5 victory.
The wins give Gingher three victories in three meets this season, also taking first in the 200 breast stroke against Kentucky on Oct. 14.
Peyton Edwards (State College, Juniata) has 15 solo tackles and 10 assists, two sacks for minus-7 yards and four tackles for loss for minus-7 yards and two fumbles forced.
Nick Gray (Philipsburg-Osceola, Juniata) has 17 solo tackles and 11 assists, a sack for minus-8 yards, a fumble forced, a fumble recovered and an interception he returned for 59 yards. Juniata lost to Moravian, 20-17 on a last-second field goal to drop to 2-6.
Aaron Boumerhi (P-O, Temple) leads Temple in scoring with 36 points on eight field goals and 12 PATs. Temple is 3-6 after losing to Army 31-28.
Cameron Tobias (Penns Valley, Lock Haven) has completed 76 of 127 passes for 737 yards, a touchdown and nine interceptions. He also has gained 18 yards on 19 carries and averages 34.45 yards on eight punts. Lock Haven (1-7) lost to Kutztown 55-26.
Kashim Buey (State College native, Lock Haven) has three catches for 38 yards.
Bryan Greene (Bald Eagle Area, Lock Haven) has caught 22 passes for 181 yards.
Nick Boumerhi (P-O, Lock Haven) has made 5 of 11 field goals and 15 PATs and has a punting average of 32.88 yards on 33 punts.
Taylor Collison (Penns Valley, Franklin & Marshall) has carried the ball 26 times for 177 yards and a touchdown, has caught two passes for three yards and has four tackles. F&M beat Dickinson 56-0 to improve to 6-1.
Jon Seighman (State College, Lehigh) has 16 solo tackles, three assisted tackles and an interception. Lehigh was idle Saturday and is 2-5.
Brett Graham (State College, UConn) averages 39.8 yards on 33 punts. UConn is 3-4 after beating Tulsa 20-14 Saturday.
Haley Crawford (State College, James Madison) has six goals and six assists. JMU is 9-9.
