State College’s Esther Seeland earned All-American honors with her performance at the New Balance Indoor Nationals track and field meet Sunday in New York City.
Seeland finished fourth in the girls’ 800-meter run with a time of 2:08.41, good for a school indoor record. Lady Little Lions teammate Lyndsey Reed tied for 21st in the pole vault championship (11-8 1/2).
For the State College boys, Lance Hamilton finished 11th in the triple jump championship (46-10 1/4) and took seventh in the long jump (22 1/4) in the emerging elite competition. Stan Hamilton placed 20th in the triple jump championship (45-8).
In the emerging elite competition Friday, Chase Longenecker took 13th in the 60 hurdles (8.28) and Luke Knipe tied for 14th in the pole vault (14-9 1/2).
