High school basketball: Bald Eagle Area girls breeze past Clearfield

Bald Eagle Area continued a busy stretch of six games in 10 days with a decisive 67-38 win over Clearfield on Wednesday.

The Lady Eagles (6-0) soared to a 20-8 lead through the first eight minutes and led 39-18 by halftime to cruise to the non-league win. The final game of the busy stretch comes Friday when they host Philipsburg-Osceola.

Marissa Ward’s 24 points paced BEA while Lexi Josefik added 10 points and seven steals, Kaitlyn Miller and Haley Giedroc each had eight points with Miller also posting seven rebounds and four blocks, and Ali Simpson gave out six assists.

Breanna Peters’ 12 points led the Bison (0-4).
